Buildable area¶
Buildable area is the portion of the selected AOI remaining after enabled, available constraints are combined and removed.
Outputs¶
The current analysis can produce:
- Baseline AOI acreage
- Removed acreage and percentage
- Remaining/buildable acreage and percentage
- Buildable-area polygon
- Buildable and non-buildable hex classifications
- Slope, access, and constraint score factors
- Available infrastructure proximity measurements
Reading the map¶
The buildable-area polygon is the geometric remainder of the AOI. Hexes are a screening visualization sampled against that result. Boundary cells can differ visually from the exact polygon because a regular grid is being classified against an irregular site boundary.
Always use the reported acreage and exact buildable polygon for totals; do not estimate acreage by counting visible cells.
Rerunning and resetting¶
- Rerunning replaces the older generated output for the active project.
- Reset analysis removes generated analysis while keeping the parcel/AOI.
- Clear removes the AOI as well.
